A senior, group-wide mandate working directly alongside the Chief Technology Officer at one of Central Europe's largest and fastest-scaling retail-technology operations. You will help set technology direction, own enterprise-architecture governance, and steer the major transformation programmes running across Żabka's retail and logistics estate. Real scope from the outset — and a defined runway into a senior technology leadership seat.
What you'll own
- Partner with the CTO to set technology strategy, priorities, roadmaps and group-wide standards.
- Represent the technology function in its own right — in the executive forums, steering committees and programme reviews where decisions are actually made.
- Own enterprise-architecture governance and solution consistency across the full retail and logistics stack: POS, ERP, e-commerce, WMS, OMS and store infrastructure.
- Run the Technology Office: portfolio governance, decision-making and oversight of the group's transformation initiatives.
- Drive flagship programmes such as store and logistics digitalisation.
- Keep technology and the business pulling in the same direction, so architecture choices serve commercial outcomes.
- Build the standards and operating model that let a scaling technology organisation move quickly.
- Surface strategic and operational risk early, with the options to address it.
- Track where retail technology is heading and shape where the network invests next.
- Mentor senior technology leaders and experts.
Where it leads
This is a deliberately built runway into a senior technology role. Within around 18 months you will have the group-wide exposure, the decision-making track record and the generalist breadth to step into a senior technology leadership seat — having already operated at that level, not been trained towards it.
What you'll bring
- Experience leading technology in retail, FMCG, e-commerce or complex multi-site / international environments — the kind built over a senior career.
- A proven record of setting strategy and leading initiatives that cut across the organisation.
- Credibility as a sparring partner to C-level executives — someone brought into the room, not briefed after it.
- Strong command of enterprise architecture and how retail and IT systems fit together end to end.
- Fluent English (C1 or above); comfortable operating across an international group.

Żabka's footprint spans Poland and Romania, and this role sits close to where the work happens. It calls for genuine geographic flexibility — regular presence across group locations and openness to international assignment as the group grows.
